Konstantinos Chrysos has a post-graduate degree in Metropolitan Research + Design from SCI_Arc (the Southern California Institute of Architecture) completed in May 2004. He received four scholarships from Greece and the USA for these studies. Konstantinos works as a designer at George Yu Architects.
Konstantinos was born and raised in Greece, but he also attended school in the USA and in Austria (Greek is his mother tongue, but he also speaks fluent English and German). He received his professional architecture degree from the School of Architecture, Department of Engineering, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, Greece (1996-2002), where he graduated with honors. He also spent the 2000 spring semester at the School of Architecture, RWTH, Aachen, Germany as part of the European Erasmus-Socrates exchange program, with a scholarship from State Scholarships Foundation of Greece. His thesis project Osmosisan urban stability process, received an award at the International Competition: ACADIA 2002 Digital Design Exhibition- and was exhibited and published at the International Conference Thresholds: Between Physical and Virtual in Pomona, California.
Konstantinos has worked at Anamorphosis Architects and Tsinikas Dipl. Arch. Ing. doing design, 3D visualizing and animation. He has shown his work at several conferences and exhibitions, including the international Biennale of Florence in (October 2003) which was also exhibited at SCI_Arc (Winter 2003), as well as work done with Anamorphosis Architects for the Architectural Biennale in Rotterdam 2003.
He is proficient in a number of 3D, 2D and graphic design programs, in a number of desktop and web publishing software as well as in image processing programs and fabrication software. |
